Lamhah – moment(s) of my life as seen through my lens. I’m a photographer of nature (and anything that catches my attention), from Chennai (erstwhile Madras), a city in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, India. I arrived at this hobby late in 2005 for what I thought would be a short journey and I’m still here journeying over ten years later.
When I look through my viewfinder, which acts as a window to the natural world that I can enter into at any moment I choose… and I see the world. It’s my haven and my freedom. I see majestic landscapes and detailed beauty complete with free roaming wildlife of all varieties. My frozen moments have been my biggest inspiration.
I have seen so many changes over the years and our inability to stop the world’s climate spiraling out of control bothers me. I am bothered that efforts to do something about it seem to take forever. We haven’t got forever. I wish I could do something, it frustrates me that I am a nobody with no power or influence to change anything. The few good snaps that I have showcased here hopefully shows why we need to save this beautiful world with its fantastic plethora of creatures because saving them means saving ourselves.
Last but not the least, i would like to say that for a reason, a season or a lifetime “friendships take many forms, crossing generations and self-imposed boundaries, and even spring up between unlikely confidants”, and I salute all my friends who supported me and motivated my passion, helped me in coping with my challenges, and who are an important part of my life – especially my photographic journey.

My photographs could be categorised as midway between documentary and artistic. I process everything in Adobe Lightroom and move to Adobe Photoshop for detailing and use of Topaz and other plugins. Some images are composites too. Ultimately, through my work, I aim to inspire people to celebrate and conserve the natural wonders of our planet.
